Weekly Workshops
Arts within mentoring uses Performing Arts and Music workshops to assist young people’s personal and social development.
ABOUT ARTS WITHIN THE PROGRAMME
The program uses practical drama exercises to explore topics such as, leadership, anger management, self-confidence, equality, bullying, gang awareness, peer pressure and mental health awareness. Towards the end of the project the young people will be able to demonstrate their new skills by putting together their own
theatre production. The production will be performed in front of family and friends and all activities will follow government social distancing guidelines. All of our staff our experienced and trained at University level in the Performing Arts, music, dance and drama.
BENEFITS
The young people who participate in this programme will complete it with a range of transferable skills, increased confidence, raised aspirations and positive methods of dealing with issues. On Completion of the course the young people will receive a AQA Accredited qualification. This will eventually lead to a reduction in anti-social behaviour and crime in the local community.
